Breaking Records, Winning Titles: Another Successful APAC Season
From sinking three-pointers to breaking records in the pool, our student athletes competed in spectacular fashion at the recent Asia Pacific Activities Conference (APAC) Basketball, Swimming, Table Tennis, and Touch Rugby tournaments. With fierce competition across multiple cities, they showcased not only their skill but also their determination, resilience, and sportsmanship.
Let’s give a huge round of applause to our Puxi boys’ basketball team, who dominated the court in Guangzhou and clinched the 2025 APAC Championship title! The Pudong boys impressed both on and off the court, earning the Best Sportsmanship award along with a solid 5th place finish. On the girls’ side, our Pudong and Puxi teams fought hard, securing 4th and 5th place respectively.
Meanwhile, in Manila, our Puxi and Pudong swimmers made waves—literally—bringing home an impressive collection of silver and bronze team medals. The medal count kept rising for individual and relay events as well, with several swimmers winning gold, silver, and bronze. Some even made APAC history, with Malia M. smashing records in the 50m and 100m Butterfly, Michelle M. blazing through the 50m Freestyle, Max G. setting a new mark in the 100m Backstroke, Kaideng Z. dominating the 100m Breaststroke, and the powerhouse relay team of Max G., Angelina C., Malia M., and Calvin L. rewriting the record books in the Mixed 4x50m Medley Relay.
In the world of table tennis, our Puxi boys’ and girls’ teams delivered outstanding performances, finishing as runners-up for the team trophies. Aiden W. became the APAC champion, while Angel Z. took an impressive 2nd place in singles. For doubles, Angel Z. & Alyssa C. and Aiden W. & Lucas C. battled their way to 2nd place finishes.
The action continued on the touch rugby field, where the Puxi girls emerged as APAC champions, showing incredible skill and teamwork. The Pudong and Puxi boys earned 2nd and 3rd place finishes, while the Pudong girls displayed exceptional heart and camaraderie, earning the Best Sportsmanship award. The competition was just as intense in the mixed team category, where the Puxi and Pudong teams powered through to claim 2nd and 3rd place.
Across courts, fields, and pools, our student athletes proved that true victory isn’t just measured in medals but in the dedication, teamwork, and spirit they bring to every game. Congratulations to all our players for an unforgettable APAC season!
